World Final 2016
2016 produced an intriguing World Final and for once all the cars survived turn one allowing a great race to develop - After 2 short cautions Dan Johnson, as in 2014 was the lead man with what looked an unassailable lead although 515 was lap by lap gaining ground. We shall never know whether it would have developed into a last lap duel as much to Dan's disappointment, he tangled with a back marker and sustained a front offside puncture ending his challenge allowing fast and furious closing laps with Speak beginning to mount a challenge until the laps ran out and a deserved a popular win for Yorkshire's Frankie Wainman Junior - Netherlands superstar Ron Kroonder followed up a Final win on Friday with a fifth [ and top overseas ] finishing place.
BriSCA would like to record it's congratulations to FWJ and of course all the competitors who have contributed to what has been a memorable 'Race for the Gold Roof' - The chase for Silver starts this Sunday at Stoke!
